PAINTER CLAUDE GARACHE
Claude Garache was born in Paris in 1929.
From 1949 to 1959, he created his first pieces in painting and sculpture. He took numerous trips and holdiays abroad. Established in Paris, Garache regularly exposed his works at the Maeght Gallery.
His works are conserved in important institutions in Paris, New York, Washington, Marseille, Vevey, Genève, etc.
Claude Garache's art is one of a singular coherance and, as Raoul Ubac noted at one of Garache's first expositions in 1972, it is "animated by a strange power working by successive pushes towards slow reconstruction and progressive of a unique body."
By means of one color (red) and a certain perseverance, he follows the unique subject of the female body. In conditions almost always identical of work and light, returns, unremitting, the question of the distance established by the artist, between the model and the canvas, the artists's view of his object and the language chosen to translate it, painting and Eros, the figure and its relation to space and form and emotion.
All the information and painting' s images had taken from Maeght Gallerie' s web page. Two painting images had taken from Moma Museum and digital side.
